    "A railroad goes through a cycle about every 30 to 35 years," said Metro Deputy General Manager Rob Troup. "And you have to get in there and do the work and do it correctly. We’re constantly cleaning up two or three inches of mud within the system. We are constantly cleaning drains. We have higher corrosion. We are in there more often replacing the rail than we should be."
