Thousands of people flock to the H Street Festival annually for a day of live music, food, drinks and shopping. It's among D.C.'s most popular festivals and was rescheduled in 2018 due to Hurricane Florence.

Taste of the Harvest at THEARC (1901 Mississippi Ave. SE) will celebrate the harvest from the Bridge Park Plots and THEARC Farm. Spend an evening dining at the king's table enjoying tastings from the gardens and performances curated by THEARC THEATER.

The woods of Columbia, Maryland, draw nearly 15,000 people each year for the OPUS Merriweather music festival. The lineup features live avant garde music and interactive art installations creating a multi-sensory experience. There are musicians from around the globe performing at this year’s festival. Thanks to a sponsor of the event, OPUS Merriweather is offering free admission. Guests can RSVP on their website.
Hear ye! Hear ye! Don your best 15th-century garb and grab a turkey leg at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Performances, including jousting, music, science demos and Shakespeare, are plentiful. Check out the schedule in advance so you don't miss your favorites. Tickets are discounted through Sept. 9; they cost $19 for adults.

Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair is celebrating 15 years of independent artists presented by The Washington City Paper. You will find anything from clothing and accessories, DIY kits, pottery, furniture, food and more. The festival will be in Lot A at Yards Park the weekend of Oct. 27-28. One-day tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door. Two-day passes are $10 in advance and $12 at the festival.

Looking to make the perfect foodie Instagram post? Mark your calendars for Nov. 9-11 and check out the Emporiyum for snap-worthy finds. The event will have nearly 100 vendors from across the country serving samples and food-related products. The event will take place at Dock5 in Union Market. Access to the event is available through timed tickets ranging in price from $15 to $50.
