Prosecutors charged two teenage boys with trying to kill a man they robbed in Silver Spring, Md.

Montgomery County Police are also looking for a third suspect.

Police said the teens robbed a man while he walked from his car to an apartment building on Teagarden Circle Saturday afternoon.

The teens asked the man for money and cell phone, and when he refused the trio dragged him to a second-floor landing, beat him, and tried to throw him over the balcony, according to police.

Investigators said the teens also beat a woman who tried to help.

Police arrested a 17-year-old from Burtonsville and a 14-year-old from Washington on Tuesday and charged them with attempted second-degree murder, robbery, assault and theft.

The 17-year-old is charged as an adult.
