SplashDown Waterpark Reopens

The warm (too warm?) weather is here, and SplashDown Waterpark in Manassas is now open. The park features a 770-foot lazy river, a sand beach, nine water slides and a 25-meter lap pool.

Among the slides, you'll find two fast cannonball slides and two four-story waterslides (imagine rocketing out of your office building in one of these babies).

Tix are $14.95 for those 48"+ tall, and $10.95 for those less than 48".

Splashdown is open now on weekends and Memorial Day, but starting June 16 will be open daily from (at minimum) 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Big Kahuna Beach is filled with more than 250 tons of white sand. OK, so it's not Ocean City, but you can't have everything.
