Cold, colder, coldest is the trend heading into the weekend so grab the warmer coats! Today has been rather breezy which has made it feel much cooler. Once the sun goes down, temperatures should cool quickly and If you’re heading out this evening expect temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
It will be the coolest weekend so far this fall with Saturday being the better of the two weekend days. Tomorrow will still be chilly but winds won’t be an issue and there will be plenty of sun. More clouds, breezy conditions, and cooler temps are in the forecast for Sunday. In fact, early Sunday morning there could be some wet snow showers in WV and far western MD. With a breezy afternoon it will only feel about 40º for a high temp.
Monday will be the coldest day out of the next 7 days. On Monday morning expect a widespread freeze, the first for DC this season. Highs will only warm into the low to mid 40s, a good ten degrees below normal for this time of year. Temperatures slowly warm as we head toward Thanksgiving. Travel weather is looking good Wednesday with partly sunny skies and highs around 60 on Thanksgiving.
