The two men facing charges of posing as federal law enforcement officers were released from jail pending their trial. News4’s Mark Segraves was outside the jail when they walked out of jail.

Arian Taherzadeh, 40, and Haider Ali, 35, were arrested last week. The FBI raided a luxury apartment building in Southeast Washington, where the men were staying and had been offering free apartments and other gifts to U.S. Secret Service agents and officers, prosecutors said.

The two men accused of impersonating federal agents will remain in jail for now. News4’s Jackie Bensen reports.

The prosecutor is appealing the judge’s decision. News4’s Paul Wagner reports.
