Following allegations that James stepped out on his Oscar-winning wife with a tattooed temptress, reps for the couple said gossip site TMZ erroneously reported that the couple had reached out to “several high-end divorce lawyers.”
"Neither she nor her representatives have contacted or shopped around for divorce lawyers," Bullock’s rep said in a statement to People on Tuesday. A spokesman for James also said TMZ's report was false.
And contrary to another online report, Bullock did not meet with Hollywood producers over the weekend to discuss a project where she would play Meryl Streep's daughter, her rep also told People.
After cheating allegations against Bullock’s bad boy hubby hit the web last week, Bullock canceled appearances at two high-profile European premieres for “The Blind Side” and went into seclusion.
But the American sweetheart received a public show of support Tuesday from actress Betty White, her co-star on “The Proposal,” and who Bullock presented a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award to last January.
"We're all deeply, deeply saddened," White told "Entertainment Tonight." "At such a high point in her life, it's tough, but I think the less other people have to say about it and let her work it out ... the better."
Meanwhile, Bullock's husband James was spotted back at work this week at his So-Cal motorcycle shop.
In a vaguely worded statement last Thursday, James conceded “poor judgment” and apologized to Bullock and his children for causing them “pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension.” He also asserted the “vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded.”
While the unfolding Hollywood sex scandal has tarnished James' reputation, it has undoubtedly raised the profile of tattoo model and stripper Michelle “Bombshell” McGee.
Still, the inked-up other woman has dealt with fallout of her own. McGee faces a renewed custody fight from her ex and was fired from her “Angry White Girl” modeling gig after a photo surfaced showing her wearing a Nazi armband and licking a dagger, the New York Daily News reported.
