The hour-by-hour forecasts on other pages are largely generated by a high-resolution computer simulation or “model” of the atmosphere. We hope this information and these tools are helpful to you in making weather related decisions. We only prepare our local forecast to day 7, near the limit of forecasting “skill”. This is our only locally prepared forecast on our homepage. The icon forecasts elsewhere are prepared by The Weather Channel which is why you may see a difference in the local short term to 2 days forecast between this forecast, and the icon forecast prepared by The Weather Channel. Forecast out to days 6-10 are prepared by a computer. Use this information with caution and for general guidance only. Specific temperature, wind, humidity and sky condition forecasts out to 10 days have no skill. Please send any comments about these pages and our forecasts and forecast discussion to me.
