Is sitting behind a desk enough punishment for the D.C. police officer who drew his gun during a snowball fight?

Investigators with the police department's internal affairs division say "yes."  They've recommended a 10-day suspension, according to The Examiner.

Detective Michael Baylor was placed on desk duty in December following the incident.

A video posted on YouTube showed the officer waving and pointing his gun at dozens of people who had gathered for a massive snowball fight at 14th and U streets in Northwest. Baylor told the revelers that he pulled his pistol because he was hit by snowballs and was afraid for his safety.

In their report of the incident, internal investigators said Baylor "engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the reputation of the police force,” according to The Examiner.

Snowballers said it best. During the confrontation they shouted,  "You don't bring a gun to a snowball fight."
