2 Men Killed, 1 Teen Hurt in Violent Weekend in DC

Two men were killed and a teen boy was hurt during a violent weekend in D.C.

Keith Douglas, of Southeast D.C., died after being shot Sunday in Southeast, police said. He was 35.

Police were flagged down about 1:30 a.m. and responded to a shooting in the 3900 block of Southern Avenue SE. Police say they found a man who had been shot multiple times. He was unconscious and unresponsive, police say.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died, police say.

Police said they were looking for a black man who was wearing tan linen pants, a navy blue baseball cap and a dark blue baseball jersey.

On Saturday, a man who police did not name immediately was fatally stabbed about 4 a.m. in the 500 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE.

Two other people were shot and wounded on Saturday. At about 3 a.m., a man was shot in the 1300 block of Congress Street SE. He was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a hospital. About 11:35 p.m., a woman was shot in the 1400 block of R Street NW.

A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded Sunday afternoon in Northeast D.C., police say.

The teen was shot in the lower extremities about 1 p.m. at 45th and Ponds streets NE, according to police. The location is about a half-mile northwest of the Deanwood Metro station.

The teen was taken to a hospital conscious and breathing.

No information was released on a suspect.
