Police have arrested a second suspect more than a year after a 24-year-old man was found shot to death in Southeast D.C.
Timothy Delonte Dawkins was found dead in the 4200 block of 4th Street SE on the evening of Aug. 21, 2013.
On Wednesday, authorities announced they have arrested Darious Antonio Scales, 20, and charged him with second-degree murder while armed.
Scales was the second person to be charged in Dawkins' death. Two days after the shooting, Todd Greene, then 22, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder while armed.
Police said Dawkins was struck at least two times in the back. Neighbors told News4 they heard at least two dozen shots.
