Officer Wounded in Navy Yard Shooting Released From Hospital

    Two weeks after being shot in the legs, a D.C. Police officer has been released from the hospital.

    Twelve people died and eight others were injured when 34-year-old Aaron Alexis opened fire inside Building 197 at the Washington Navy Yard Sept. 16. Alexis was also killed.

    Scott Williams, a D.C. Police officer with the K-9 Unit was released from MedStar Washington Hospital Center Monday, according to officials. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
