The National Harbor is welcoming 100 new cherry trees in honor of the popular destinations’ 10th anniversary.

The harbor's developer, Peterson Companies, planted the trees along the waterfront. More than 100 other cherry trees are located around the 350-acre property in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

The Okame cherry trees are fast growers and typically bloom in the spring. But the trees are also a sight to see in the fall.

“Okame are known for their orange-red fall foliage and reddish brown glossy bark,” Deborah Topcik, National Harbor's director of marketing, said in a statement.
