Eight people, including an infant, were rescued from a burning building in Southeast Washington Friday morning.
The fire started just before 7 a.m. at an apartment building on the 1200 block of Maple View Place SE.
Firefighters rescued eight people from the building using ladders.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say a number of people were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross has been called to assist those residents.
