The Jete Society -- the young professional supporters of the Washington Ballet -- met for a happy hour at Peacock Cafe Thursday night. The event was a chance for meeting and mingling, as well as to preview the ballet's upcoming 'Great Gatsby' performance.

"The Great Gatsby".
Ebony and Juanita, new members of the Jeté Society, said they're looking forward to meeting new friends who enjoy the ballet.
Shannon, Khaleelah and Juanita are members of the Jeté Society, which supports the Washington Ballet. The Ballet's new season is skewing young and innovative, with a dance version of "Gatsby," a tribute to Twyla Tharp, a ballet edition of "Alice in Wonderland" and a celebration of Latin dance and music.
Ashley Taylor, a Jeté Society chair, greeted guests and new members at Peacock Café.
Fifteen percent of the night proceeds went to support the Jeté Society's Washington School of Ballet Student Scholarship Fund.
