DC Cocktail Week
Through Nov. 24
Dozens of D.C. restaurants are offering a mixed drink and snack deal during DC Cocktail Week. Alhambra is offering an apple-maple cocktail served with maple and pecan-crusted pork belly — a $22 combo that screams fall. ARTECHOUSE is also offering a discount on admission and cocktails during this week.

Enchant Christmas at Nats Park
Nov. 22-Dec. 29; Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-10:30pm, Friday-Sunday 4:30pm-11:30pm
This very special event at Nats Park will feature many spectacular Christmas amenities, including an ice skating trail, Christmas Market and what the event calls the world's largest Christmas Light Maze.
Dining options will include sweet treats, a custom Ben's Chili Bowl offering and more. If you're thirsty, stop by the Ice Bar and Lounge for drinks like spiked coffee, beer, mulled wine and other spirits and cocktails. Tickets start at $20 for adults and $15 for children, but visit the website for deals and special offers.

Tree Lighting at Rockville Town Square

The holiday season will officially begin in Rockville on Nov. 22, when Rockville lights its Christmas tree. There will be live music and dance performances, merchant specials, and even special booths with games and activities.

National Geographic Museum (1145 17th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036)
"Becoming Jane," an exhibit dedicated to famous chimpanzee expert Dr. Jane Goodall, is opening on Friday. Engage in a hands-on experience that teaches about human’s closest living relatives and the life of Goodall. Tickets range from being free for children under 5 years old to $15 for general admissions. Discounts are available for children aged 5 to 12 years old, seniors, students and military personnel.
Alexandria Cider Festival
Nov. 23, 1-5 p.m.

Offerings from 10 Virginia cideries will be available at this special tasting at in Alexandria. Though tickets are $45, they include tastings, a souvenir glass and special on-site music and talks. Make sure to dress for the weather because the festival will be taking place outdoors.
Jennifer Bush-Lawson 5K & Family Fun Day

This special event commemorates the legacy of Jenn Lawson, a runner and mother who was passionate about providing high levels of care to expecting mothers with complicated pregnancies. The event itself includes the 5K, a kids' fun run, laser tag, community performances and other fun health-focused activities. Fun Day passes are $22.50 online, and 5K registration costs $34.50.
Cranksgiving: A Bike Scavenger Hunt

Self-described as a “food and clothing drive on two wheels,” Cranksgiving is a choose-your-own-adventure-style bike ride than benefits the Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network. Participants have three-hours to find, buy or do the items on the checklist and photograph their experience to score points. Make sure to head to their website to register for this free event.
