Protesters March for Immigration Reform

WASHINGTON -- More than 2,000 people marched to the White House Friday to call for a change in immigration policy.
The group chanted "yes we can" in French, Spanish and English. Some signs had a U.S. map that read "Immigrant Roots, Immigrant Rights."
Sarahi Uribe, of Washington, wore a prison shirt and was chained to nine other marchers. Uribe said she opposes a law that allows local police to enforce immigration policies.
Mario Quiroz, from CASA de Maryland, said the group wants the Obama administration to push for reform that will help the economy and bring immigrants "out of the shadows."
The protesters have organized under the National Capital Immigrant Coalition, a group that supports working immigrant families.
It is one of several May Day rallies across the country marking the labor holiday.
