Man Sentenced for High School Student's Death

    An 18-year-old Maryland man will spend 50 years behind bars for the murder of a high school student.

    Akil Ings convicted of murdering 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones last year. He was sentenced Friday on a second degree murder charge.

    Jones was a student at Friendly High School in Fort Washington. He was killed while leaving a house party.

    A 19-year-old who was supposed to be a witness in Ing's trial was also killed, but police have not been able to determine a motive in that murder.
