A C-23 Sherpa like this one will be seen over the skies of the D.C. area Thursday and Friday. No need to panic, though.

No, that's not a presidential jet you'll see flying low over the D.C. area Thursday and Friday. It's a C-23 Sherpa, loaded with members of the 101st Airborne parachute team.

They will be flying over Walter Reed Army Medical Center at about 3 p.m. Thursday and again at about 10 a.m. Friday as part of the center's centennial celebration.

Thursday's jump will be a rehearsal. The formal jump is Friday during the ceremony.

The FAA is aware of the flight, and unlike the debacle that scared the bejesus out of New York City natives earlier this week, officials have decided to alert the public for these flights.
