Third University of Maryland Student Reports Being Hit by BB Gun Pellet

A third University of Maryland student believed she was shot by a BB gun while walking on campus. 

The victim told police she was walking along Paint Branch Drive near the Kim Engineering Building at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, when she was struck by what she believed was a pellet from a BB gun. 

Two other students also reported being struck at about the same time Sunday. 

One student told campus police he was on Paint Branch Drive between the Kim Engineering and Biomolecular Science buildings about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, when he was struck by what he thought was a BB pellet.

About an hour later, another student reporedt to police he was walking on the sidewalk on Stadium Drive between a garage and Ellicott Hall, when he was struck by a BB pellet.

The shooter was inside a dark-colored vehicle, police said. No injuries were reported.
