Good excuses to look frumpy? A hangover, a newborn at home, law school, an all-night marathon of "The Office" ... OK, some of those we can understand. But looking frumpy because you can't find shoes that are both sexy AND well-made? Nah. We LIVE to tell you about these finds.
Enter Butter: affordable, vintage-inspired shoes. This Wednesday, SimplySoles (1438 Park Road NW) will be holding a trunk show, where modern styles meet traditional silhouettes. Butter's lead designer, Lee Riech, will be attending.
The show will include every Butter shoe that SimplySoles has in stock, from simple black wedges to 1960s flower-child peep-toe heels. Butter's Italian craftsmanship combines style, comfort and affordability so you are guaranteed a shoe that will be able to log a lot of miles. The shoes range from $145 to about $400.
While you're there, indulge in some hors d'oeuvres while you get footwear advice from Riech, as well as shoe guru/SimplySoles owner Kassie Rempel. An RSVP is necessary to attend. Call 202-232-0072 or e-mail email@example.com.
