With April Fool's Day and Opening Day falling on April 1 this year, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady took advantage of everyone's baseball nostalgia, especially fans in Montreal.

In a prank announcement Thursday, Brady tweeted that he was bringing the Montreal Expos back to Major League Baseball in 2022 and how he was going to be the first player/coach/owner in league history.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion in the NFL, was drafted by the Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 first-year player draft. He was a catcher in high school and apparently displayed enticing power at the plate.

But he opted to play football at Michigan, and we all know how the rest of his story goes.

As far as the Expos are concerned, many baseball fans have been pining to get a baseball team back in Montreal. From 1969-2004, the Expos graced the National League as the first baseball franchise located outside the United States.

In 2005, the team was relocated to Washington D.C. as the Nationals, bringing baseball back to the nation's capital for the first time since the Senators moved to Texas in 1971.

As of now, there are no reported plans for MLB to expand the league and bring back the Expos. It's just Brady having a little fun on Opening Day.
