Report: Former Washington QB Dwayne Haskins Visiting Steelers

Report: Former Washington QB Dwayne Haskins visiting Steelers originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Dwayne Haskins' search for his next NFL home continued on Thursday, as the 23-year-old quarterback is reportedly visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Steelers are the second team that has brought Haskins in for a visit this offseason, as the quarterback met with the Carolina Panthers earlier this month.

Haskins, who was released by the Washington Football Team in December, is a free agent and able to sign with any team.

The No. 15 pick by Washington in the 2019 NFL Draft, Haskins' tenure with the Burgundy and Gold was not a memorable one. As a rookie, Haskins started seven games for Washington and showed signs of promise towards the end of the season -- hope that quickly vanished in his second season.

Haskins began the 2020 campaign as Washington's starter but was quickly relegated to third-string after just four games.

Injuries thrust Haskins back into the lineup later in the season, but the second-year passer showed many of the same mistakes he did earlier in the year. One week after being photographed partying maskless and violating COVID-19 protocol, Washington cut ties with Haskins following Week 16.

For his career, Haskins is 3-10 as a starter with 2,804 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
