How to watch Caps’ virtual ‘Rock the Red Carpet’ event originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

The Capitals plan to host a virtual “Rock the Red Carpet” event ahead of their home opener against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night to give fans a live look at players arriving to Capital One Arena.

Radio play-by-play man John Walton and digital host Taryn Bray will be on call providing commentary and interviewing players during the one-hour special that will be aired on NBC Sports Washington’s Facebook page, among other platforms.

Select season ticket holders will have the chance to line the red carpet through video chat, speaking with players as they walk into the arena. Washington is 2-0-2 on the young season with each of its two wins coming against the Sabres last week. The home opener will start at 7 p.m. with pregame coverage kicking off on NBC Sports Washington at 6 p.m.
