Sports world pays respect to Craig Anderson after heroic Game 1 originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

Anderson kept the Capitals in their first round Game 1 matchup against the Boston Bruins. He stopped 21 of the 22 shots sent his way before Nic Dowd’s deflection won the game 3-2 for the home side in overtime. The sports world took notice, and paid homage to the veteran for his gutsy performance.
