Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow was carted off the field during Cincinnati's Week 11 matchup with the Washington Football Team after suffering a left knee injury.

The injury came early in the third quarter with the Bengals leading Washington, 9-7. Faced with a third-and-2 deep in Bengals territory, Burrow was crushed by two Washington defenders.

Three Washington players -- Terry McLaurin, Chase Young and Dwayne Haskins -- went over to give their best wishes to Burrow. All four of them were teammates at Ohio State before Burrow transferred to LSU.

Burrow's injury appears to be the third major one that's occurred to a quarterback at FedExField in as many years. Washington quarterback Alex Smith suffered a notorious leg injury just over two years ago against Houston, while Kyle Allen was carted off with a likely season-ending ankle injury three weeks ago.
