A North Carolina man missing at sea for 66 days was rescued from his broken sailboat, the U.S. Coast Guard said Thursday, NBC News reported. Louis Jordan, 37, sailed on his 35-foot boat "Angel" on Jan. 23 from Bucks Port Marina in South Carolina. He was reported missing on Jan. 29 after his father hadn't heard from him. After an unsuccessful search, Jordan was found two months later on his disabled boat by a German cargo ship some 200 miles east of Cape Hatteras off the North Carolina coast. The sailor was in good condition after the Coast Guard helicoptered the man from the German ship to Sentara Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Jordan's boat had capsized, damaging the mast. He was able to survive by drinking rain water and eating raw fish.
