FDA Approves Bionic Suit That Helps Paralyzed Walk

The Food and Drug Administration has approved a bionic suit that helps people with spinal cord paralysis walk again, NBC News reported. The ReWalk, a battery-powered robotic exoskeleton at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation Institute, helps patients walk on their own and even regain muscle strength, stamina, and other benefits, studies show. β€œIt will be incredible for me to regain independence, to use the system to walk and stand on my own,” said Derek Herrera, a Marine captain who’s getting one.
