Isolated storms moving through the region Friday evening will fizzle out by about 9 or 10 p.m., Storm Team4 says.
A flood warning is in effect for parts of Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties until 11:45 p.m.
Temperatures reached the 90s for the fourth-straight day Friday in what could wind up being a 12-day heat wave.
With the temperature reaching 91 degrees and the heat index reaching 95, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser activated the heat emergency plan and opened cooling centers, which are open until 6 p.m. or it is considered safe to be outdoors again.
Storm Team4 says we could likely see more scattered storms mainly between 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Otherwise, Saturday will be very muggy and hot with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 90s and feels-like temperatures near 100.
A cool front arriving late Sunday or Monday will briefly put a dent in the heat and humidity, but otherwise the mid-summer heat is on.
