Steph Curry rocks Howard-inspired shoes during Wizards game originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
NBA superstar Steph Curry continues to show off his connection to the Howard University golf program. On Wednesday, it was in the form of a new pair of shoes he wore in Washington to face the Wizards.
Howard is located less than two miles away from Capital One Arena, where Curry and the Warriors tipped off against the Wizards. During the game, the league's best shooter wore pair of his Curry 8s inspired by Howard, using the same blue and red color scheme as the Bison.

As mentioned in the tweet, Curry has a relationship with Howard -- a Washington D.C. HBCU -- in the form of funding the next several seasons of their men's and women's golf programs.
Curry is an avid and skilled golfer. He first committed to helping sponsor the Howard golf program in the summer of 2019 and the team is playing at the Division I level for the first time this year.
