Commuters in northern Virginia will have the chance to ride an "all-electric bus of the future" free of charge.
Alexandria Transit Co. (DASH) said it has obtained the bus on a trial basis for demonstrations, testing and evaluation. The bus will operate as part of a regular DASH revenue service for a week, beginning Saturday. Riders of the routes serviced by the bus will be asked to complete a survey about their experience after their ride.
On Wednesday, the bus will be showcased during a demonstration and display at Alexandria City Hall Market Square. Those who attend are invited to take a free ride.
