No Charges to Be Filed After Man Killed in Road Rage Incident in Virginia

Police say a driver will not face any charges after a man was killed in a road rage incident on Prince William County Parkway in August.

Larry Dean Walker, 53, of Woodbridge, died on Aug. 8 after getting out of his pickup truck to confront another driver and was pinned between two vehicles near the intersection with Minnieville Road, police said.

The driver of a 2010 Mitsubishi Galant sedan and Walker, who was driving a 1995 Ford F-Super Duty pickup, had gotten into some kind of dispute as they drove northbound, Prince William County Police said.

The vehicles had come to a stop at a traffic light. Police said Walker got out to confront the man in the sedan. The driver of the sedan then pulled off to the left, and the pickup driver was caught between the sedan and a 2012 Honda Odyssey minivan that was driving past.

The driver of the sedan, a 34-year-old Woodbridge man, briefly left the scene but then pulled into a nearby parking lot and contacted police.

Walker died at the scene.

The Prince William County Police Department tweeted the following on Thursday:

"After consultation with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office regarding the fatal crash that occurred in the area of the Prince William Pkwy & Minnieville Rd in #Woodbridge on Aug.8, it has been decided that no charges will be placed in this case."
