The National Portrait Gallery is recognizing the life and accomplishments of Nancy Reagan.

The Smithsonian announced Monday that a portrait of the former first lady is on display in the museum's In Memoriam space. Reagan died Sunday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 94.

The painting of Reagan by Aaron Shikler is part of the museum's “Time Cover” collection. The portrait appeared on the Jan. 14, 1985, edition of the publication.

Nancy Reagan appeared in 11 movies and married Ronald Reagan in 1952. As first lady, Nancy Reagan launched the “Just Say No” anti-drug campaign and later supported her husband in his battle with Alzheimer's disease.
