A man accused of trying to run over a Montgomery County police officer is in custody, police said.
Police had been searching for Babajide Vidal since Wednesday, when he allegedly tried to injure an officer in Silver Spring, authorities said. Officers spotted Vidal's car at Brink and Goshen roads in Gaithersburg Friday morning.
When the officers approached, they observed Vidal trying to hurt himself, police said.
