Four Men Shot at Busy Bus Stop in SE DC; Girl Also Injured

Four men were shot and a girl was injured at a busy bus stop in Southeast D.C. during the Monday evening rush.

The men were shot about 5:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries and ran from the scene.

It’s unclear how the elementary-school-age girl was injured. She was conscious and breathing when she was taken to a hospital.

The men who were shot were found at four different locations, including a hospital.

"There were 20-30 people waiting at that bus stop," D.C. police Cmdr. Durriyyah Habeebullah said.

D.C. police tweeted a lookout for a 6-foot-tall black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks wearing a gray shirt and blue pants and headed toward Minnesota Avenue SE.

They are looking at video from a nearby liquor store.
