Firefighters responding to a brush fire Wednesday morning found a body in a burned car.
The Honda sedan was across the street from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Germantown, Maryland, on a dirt road leading from Wisteria Drive to railroad tracks when firefighters found it about 4:30 a.m. They called police.
โFire rescue is on the scene,โ a police dispatcher said. โThey were out there for a brush fire that was going on in the woods. There were sounds of explosions, and again, but now itโs a vehicle fire and they are requesting us to go out there.โ
Sources told News4 it was a womanโs body in the back seat.
Homicide detectives and fire investigators are investigating.
The body was taken to the medical examinerโs office to determine cause of death.
