District Heights Fire Ruled Arson

Prince George's County firefighters rescued three residents from their balconies after a fire broke out at their apartment building in District Heights.

Spokesman Mark Brady says the two-alarm fire started Wednesday morning in the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Heavy flames were seen coming from the second and third floors, and three people retreated to their balconies to escape. All three are okay.

The fire was ruled arson late Wednesday afternoon and no arrests have been made.
