A Fairfax County bus driver has been suspended following allegations he sexually assaulted a 79-year-old passenger, Fairfax County police said.
On June 10, the victim told police she was assaulted by a Fastran bus driver in early May while the bus was in the Lincolnia area. She said the same suspect assaulted her on other occasions.
Police say the victim did not require medical attention.
Fastran is a transportation service for county residents using human service agencies in the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church.
The bus driver has been suspended from his contracted position with Fastran, police said.
Anyone with information that can help police or who may have been a victim is asked to call police at 703-691-2131.
