Northbound and southbound lanes of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway closed Friday after a two-vehicle crash left two victims in critical condition.
The Prince George's County Fire Department and U.S. Park Police responded to the crash around 2 p.m.
U.S. Park Police said a vehicle traveling south on BW Parkway lost control, crossing the center island and striking a northbound car head-on.
Both victims were transported by helicopter to nearby hospitals.
Traffic is being diverted on BW Parkway.
