Three Men Arrested in More Than 80 Copper Thefts

Three Landover, Md. men have been arrested in connection with more than 80 copper thefts in Prince George's County this month that caused nearly $1 million in damages.

Police say Sean Sibley, 21, Marco Howard, 25, and Marlon Glenn, 24, were arrested earlier this week and are responsible for stealing copper from 25 units at an apartment complex on Warley Drive in Landover June 12.

The men are also responsible for stealing copper tubing and PVC fittings from sprinkler systems from 56 utility closets at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Attlee Way, officials said. Those burglaries cost more than $700,000 in water damage to the apartment units.

Sibley was arrested at a family member's home in Bowie June 16. Howard turned himself in Wednesday and Sibley was arrested the same day. Sibley is facing first degree burglary and other related charges. Howard and Glenn are charged with third and fourth degree burglary and theft.
