Son Sent to Grocery Store Returns $250K Richer

Twenty-year old is second person to win top prize

We'll bet lottery winner Ryan McCoy is really glad he helped his mom out with the groceries this week.

While he was at the supermarket, McCoy, 20, bought a few tickets for the Virginia Lottery's $250K High Roller scratcher game.   He brought the tickets home, handed a couple out to his family and took one for himself to scratch.

It was the winner.

McCoy said he went to Bloom to pick up some things for his mom, InsideNova reported.

McCoy, who's studying business administration at Northern Virginia Community College, is the second person to win the top prize in the scratcher game, according to lottery officials.  He said he plans to invest his $250,000 and hopes to someday open his own business.

Meanwhile, there's still one more, yet-to-be-claimed top-prize-winning ticket out there.

Really?  Oh, did we mention that we'll be glad to help out with the groceries if you share it?
