Weather officials confirmed an EF0 tornado touched down in the area of Reston, Virginia, Friday night, leaving a 4-mile path of damage in just five minutes.
A large tree fell on a Reston man's pickup truck and destroyed it.
Accoridng to a National Weather Service report, the tornado's winds topped out at 70 mph. The first signs of damage centered near Fox Mill Road and Pinecrest Road. The report says the tornado tracked near Reston Hospital Center, then by a Trader Joe's before uprooting a tree that landed on a Quitree Drive home.
That home was condemned. Another home on Fort Lee Street was struck by a falling tree, the report says.

Most damage came in the form of downed fences or trees and shingles ripped off roofs, the National Weather Service confirmed. The tornado weakened about 9 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Parts of Montgomery County were under a tornado warning that has since expired. Previous tornado warnings for parts of Northern Virginia and Frederick and Washington counties in Maryland have also expired.
All tornado watches and flash flood watches have also expired for the entire region. Storm Team4 said at about 10 p.m. the severe weather threat was over.
A few showers are possible early Saturday, but the day should be mostly dry with increasing sun. There's a chance for some spotty showers on Sunday, otherwise there will be plenty of clouds with chilly temperatures inthe 50s and 60s throughout the day.
