    A man waving a flag for a road construction crew was hit and killed Monday afternoon in Manassas, Virginia, police say.

    The worker was hit about 12:15 p.m. on the 6600 block of Davis Ford Road, Prince William County Police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The driver who hit him remained on the scene. Information about any charges against the driver was not released immediately.

    The road worker will be identified to the public pending notification of his family, police said.
