Remove your purse from the front seat of your car while pumping gas, is the message DC police want to get out to the public.
The warning comes after a woman had her purse stolen from her car as she pumped gas at a service station located in the 4100 block of Alabama Ave. SE at 9a.m. today.
The woman was paying for gas when she noticed her right side door open according to police.
The purse snatcher fled the scene in a silver Toyota Camry with Maryland tags and tinted windows says the victim. She also says the thief had purses that belonged to two other woman.
Police are also encouraging everyone to remove any valuable items that can be seen through the window, including GPS devices.
