A llama stirred up a bit of drama over the weekend: crews rescued the animal from a Maryland pasture flooded by heavy downpours.

Howard County Fire and EMS tweeted a photo Sunday of rescuers bringing the llama to safety. It had been stranded in a field near the Patuxent River and Mink Hollow Road, a mostly rural area west of Columbia.

"After crews spent hours last night assisting car drivers out of the water, @HCDFRS assisted the owner of this llama," the tweet said in part.

Two rescuers in knee-high water used a rope to guide the llama to safety.
