Inauguration SmarTrip Cards to Go On Sale



    New Shoulder Replacement Procedure Gives the Gift of Movement

    WMATA announced today that Metro will sell its special inauguration SmarTrip cards at nine stations on Sunday and at two Metro sales offices on Saturday.

    On Saturday, customers can buy the $15 Commemorative Inaugural SmarTrip cards between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. at Metro Center, and between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. at  Anacostia Station. Cards will be available from the sales offices.

    On Sunday, cards can be purchased between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the following stations:

    • Branch Avenue
    • Franconia-Springfield
    • Glenmont
    • Greenbelt
    • Largo Town Center
    • New Carrollton
    • Shady Grove
    • Union Station
    • Vienna

    The card comes with a One-Day Pass providing unlimited travel on Metrorail on the day it's used -- and it can be used as a "flash pass" for unlimited Metrobus travel on Inauguration Day. The card can be reloaded after the one-day pass is used.
