Two Gunshot Victims Found in D.C. Wednesday



    D.C. Police Investigate Homicide Near High School

    A gunshot victim was found just three blocks from HD Woodson High School in Northeast D.C. The man's death is being investigated as a homicide. (Published Wednesday, May 14, 2014)

    D.C. police found two gunshot victims at separate crime scenes Wednesday afternoon.

    Crews responded to the 5800 block of Field Place NE around 3:30 p.m. for a shooting, a couple blocks from H.D. Woodson High School. A shooting victim was found unconscious, and later pronounced dead. His death is now being investigated as a homicide.

    Within 30 minutes, crews were dispatched to the 4600 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue SW for a shooting. A man was found with serious to life-threatening injuries and taken to a local hospital.

    No motive or suspect information has been released in either shooting.

    Tuesday night, 36-year-old Elike Rahmon Richardson was found dead in the 4400 block of C Street SE, just two miles from the Field Place NE shooting.
