As competition between grocery chains heats up, consumers are benefiting.
The News4 Consumer Team checked out several grocery stores that serve the D.C. region — Walmart, Target, Giant, Safeway, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Whole Foods — to compare their services.
We tried their curbside pickup and delivery services and even compared their prices, using a shopping list of 12 popular items, ignoring sales and not using loyalty cards. (Whole Foods only carries four of the items.)
Here's how those prices match up.
