D.C. Police are investigating the beating death of a 61-year-old man that took place in Northeast D.C. earlier this week.
Investigators say that Darryl Eugene Sweet Sr. was found unconscious and unresponsive in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue Northeast shortly after 10:00 p.m. Thursday. Sweet was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from an internal head injury Friday.
The death has been ruled a homicide by blunt force trauma to the head. Anyone with information is asked to call D.C. Police at (202) 727-9099.
