Armed Robbery In College Park

3 men rob man of money, personal items

Police in College Park are investigating an armed robbery and abduction that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Investigators say that the victim was driving eastbound on University Boulevard at around 1:30 a.m. when he was flagged down by an unknown man near the intersection of Adelphi Road. When the victim pulled over, the suspect brandished a silver semi-automatic gun, got in the backseat of the victim's car and made him drive to Stanford Street.

At that intersection, police say that two other men got into the car and made the victim get out. The three suspects then took an undisclosed amount of money and personal belongings before fleeing in the direction of the University Hills Duck Pond Park.

The man with the gun is described as being around 20 years old with long hair, and weighing approximately 205 pounds. His two accomplices are described as being between 17 and 18 years old. One of them was last seen wearing a green-and-blue checked long sleeve shirt, black pants, and a black hat. The other was last seen wearing a red shirt.

The victim reported to investigators that all three of his assailants were Hispanic and were wearing their shirts inside-out.
